I believe that horoscopes are almost dangerously similar to the occult. I mean, consulting something outside of this world to find out about the future or somesuch thing... it's kind of like using a Ouija board, or getting a fortune told, or counsel from a psychic, or even holding a seance. I believe in God, which as a matter of logic means I also believe in the devil, making the occult a proposition much more real than it first seems. It's easy to laugh at that stuff and call it phony. But a lot of people LIVE by their horoscopes, just as others live by psychic consultation and other things. I beleive that there *is* truth to these things -- psychics and horoscopes and stuff are often true -- but that knowledge comes from supernatural sources that I'd rather not associate with. Evil spirits, or the "dark side," if you will.

I believe many psychics are for real. Many aren't, but that's because they are mostly concerned with ripping people off. Real psychics actually contact spirits and *can* really see into the future. That's evil stuff, and we should have no part in that. On the same token, horoscopes may or not be true, depending on their sources. If it's just some newspaper guy or book publishing company trying to make a quick buck, it's a fraud. But if a real astrologer actually does real "astrologing" (whatever), then there's a good posibility there's some black magic going on. Sure, it's easy to scoff at that. But there are plenty of people who get hooked on this stuff, because it's right... every time. And I think there's more than just something psychological going on to make them come true.

There are basically three types of people when it comes to this topic...
1. The people who believe it and stay away from it (like me).
2. The people who laugh and say it's all "cock-and-bull" (most people, probably)
3. The people who believe it and are addicted to it, and let it control their lives.

I'm probably in the minority here, and I'm probably going to be slapped around with the proverbial trout for speaking so much deep religious stuff. But when it comes down to it, it doesn't matter what you believe -- horoscopes are what they are. If they're innocent and fun, then I'm wrong (along with all of groups #1 and #3). If they are real and occultish, though, #2 is wrong. Whatever you think of all that doesn't change the reality of things.
