Or you can get the one that Marge Simpson read that stated, "You will die today." She found that to be odd.

Whether you attach horoscopes to the occult or not, anyone looking at them biblically can see that using a statement in a horoscope for your life can be bad because you are looking to false idols. A false idol based in the occult may be worse than any other false idol, I'm not sure, but it would be a false idol, nonetheless. For Christians, this would be something that pulls them away from God. A Gameboy can do the same thing (and some may even argue that Nintendo is of the Devil).

If you look at it from another point of view, horoscopes look like your standard scam. All it takes is one day for the horoscope to be even remotely correct and someone might glom onto them forever, ignoring that nothing specific can really be attached to them. If I wanted to, I could say that getting my paycheck validates the horoscope from the 27th day of the month that stated I would come into some money in the next few days. What a stretch. I could then conveniently dismiss the days when I did not meet my "soulmate." Many people will continue to check the coin slots on a payphone because they found a dime once.

Here are some lines from today's horoscope:

"Jealousy is to be avoided because it could change the dynamics of a wonderful relationship." Duh.

"You will be in a social mood and you will want to go out to dinner or be with friends whose company you enjoy." What? Not with those annoying people who hate to eat?

"Don't take any unnecessary risks or you'll be sorry." Really, Einstein? Risks of the unnecessary nature aren't usually an asset?

Finally, how can 1/12th of all the people in the world have the exact same thing happening around them, even if the specifics are different? Because the specifics don't matter. One size fits all usually doesn't fit me or many others.

Occult? Maybe. Waste of time? Yes. You can't prove it to me otherwise.
