This is getting ridiculous. I've just heard about a courtcase against McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys and KFC by seven seriously obese people for several million dollars all because their burgers made them fat.

What? Burgers make you FAT? I never knew that...

This is one example of the blame culture that we are now living in. If we do anything wrong, it's always someone else's fault. Another example of this are the compensation adverts that UK TV seems to be plastered with. Typical line from advert:

"I tripped over a paving slab, but thanks to Rob & Pilfer Solicitors, I got £850 from the local council!"

So the paving slab wasn't put in correctly. They should have been looking where they have been going...

Now there are some of these things that I do have to agree with on some points. The person who sued McDonalds because their coffee was so hot it scalded her for life, for example, was understandable. However, just being greedy because YOU were greedy when going into McD's or KFC is absolutely way over the top.

Feel free to reply with your arguments - maybe there's something I've missed - but I can't help thinking that the Blame Culture is going to mean that we can't do ANYTHING without having to fill in loads of insurance forms and buerocratical nonsense.
