I've had plenty of painful experiences when I should have sued myself.

If you never had it happen to you you will never know the god awlful feeling and emotional trauma it can cause. I am sure until a week ago that I use too think the same way but once it happens to you it's another story and I couldn't imagine being 70+ years old and not being able to move as quickly I I did when it happened. It took less than 10 seconds to get first and second degree burns on my buttock and legs. 10 seconds!! and it wasn't even my coffee.

So who, according to you, should I sue for this? The manufacturer of the pot, perhaps? Or of the range? The owner of the restaurant where I worked? I mean, sure, free money is all fine and good, but none of them are particularly liable. Just because it sucks doesn't mean anybody involved owes you a thing.
