We saw parking lots in New England that had spaces like that for pregnant women. We thought it was a good idea and it wasn't always closest to the store. Most were next to the shopping cart return racks. However, I do think that having spaces restricted because there are kids in the car is a bit of a reach.

> I've been seeing similar signs in the parking lot at one mall. I think they say "Families with Children Only," and they are the spaces closest to the doors with the exception of handicapped spaces. They infuriate me so much I park in them anyway, me in my big SUV, all by myself. Making concessions like that to people -- just PEOPLE -- people who do the incredibly normal act of having children -- is utterly ridiculous.
