They were in supermarket parking lots. Big Y in Massachusetts was one that I remember and we saw some in New Hampshire but I don't believe it was at a Shaw's.

Legally, it isn't enforceable but could they tow you anyway since the lot is private property?

If the lot was packed and those spaces were open, I would have no qualms about parking in any non-handicapped spot.
