We have? Who? The only people I think you could make an argument for would be JFK and Clinton, but it's hardly as if either of them were inexperienced people incapable of being president (our worst president ever was probably Grant, and he got elected because he won the Civil War). Maybe presidents can be elected for charisma and stuff (which I think is what Clinton had more than looks), but that's something people look for in a leader.

And I also think that Nyp has nothing to worry about, since I find it more likely that our first female president will have to *overcome* a lot of latent sexism to get elected. Neither of the two major political parties has yet to even nominate a woman as their candidate, which I think says more about voters than it does about qualified women.

Oh, and I'm willing to bet that our first female president will be a Republican, not a Democrat like many assume. If I had to pick a candidate, I would go with either Elizabeth Dole or Condi Rice.
