Has anyone else found that, when using Word, numbered lists will suddenly indent an inch or so for just one of the items, and with no apparent reason? Once it turned the number blue as well. In fact, I wouldn't mind that quite so much, were it not for the fact that Word then swears blind that it hasn't done anything wrong and that everything is as it should be.

That hasn't happened to me (yet). However, it is true that I have had no end of trouble with Word's confusing indentation tendancies. I would be much better if there were no AutoFormat on Word at all-at least then I can correctly correct things I want to change without Word spontaneously changing it back or adding another space or tabbing over another indentation for no apparent reason at all. Fortunately, I recently got the XP version of Word, which is a good deal better than the '97 version. But still, it still messes up sometimes.
