The fact that Office 2000 in its current state doesn't need any more work for my purposes is a big plus. I don't want to be limited by the program I use to write, because the whole purpose is to write. I've used WordPerfect quite a bit and really like it, but the fact of the matter is that Word files are just more common. A lot more people have Word than any other word processing program, and compatibility is more important to me than bugs I've never experienced and security holes that have never affected me.

Office has Outlook, and I've used that program a LOT in recent years. Like Dave said, the calendar part works wonderfully well for businesses and employees. I haven't used that part much in the last couple years, but I know the program very well, so it's effortless to do things like set a reminder for myself.

> I never understood why you hate Netscape so much, but have you tried Mozilla? The very recent releases of Mozilla are NICE. Clean, function browsing without the gazillion security holes of IE, nor the bloat, hard-sell glitz of the latest Netscape releases.

I've always hated Netscape, and it's been so long that I can't really put my finger on a particular reason anymore. I have Netscape 6 and it's not bad, but I still don't like it. I even dislike the little, unimportant things like the hand icon that appears when you hover over a link. I imagine I could probably get used to it, but that will never happen, because it doesn't work with my mouse. Having Back and Forward buttons on my mouse has spoiled me, but hey, if I have them, why not use them?

I've heard enough good things about Mozilla to know that I'd probably get used to it, but my reason for not doing so is simple, and another reason for why I like and use Office: Why change something if it works fine for me?
