I had foolishly thought that I'd be able to sleep on the bus between Grove City and Louisville, but I forgot that it was actually 4 two-hour buses, and I never had time to sleep. I finally got to my hotel on Friday (day 6 of this week) in time to shower and get changed and do a little laundry before heading off to meet Cynthia.

We meet up on the UofL campus and she showed me round, and introduced me to a few of her friends who were playing a home-grown cardgame which has now been named "monkey-whore" for reasons that excape me. After that we met up with some of Cynthia's other friends and explored some music shops, and the like. We went for food, and Cynthia revealed that she used to work at Hooters.

We went back to Cynthia's place, and I met her family, and we talked for a few hours, as I realised that I was far less tired than I ought to be.

On the Saturday, I met ang, who had insisted on taking me to a particular bar, "Coyote's". We played a few games of pool, and I rode a mechanical bull, with a suprising degree of ineptness. Still, it was worth $5, I think. That was fun, generally.

On the Sunday, all three of us got together for brunch at The Galt House, which has a rotating restaurant on the top floor. We wandered around Louisville, and 0wned every playground we found. Climbing on things is fun.

ang had some kites with her, so we flew those under the freeway (or whatever you call it), and I tried to land one on it, but I couldn't. The Tweety-pie kite kept trying to kill Cynthia. After a while, we went back to my hotel and chatted for a couple of hours.

Then they left, and I wnent to sleep so I could catch my 'plane up to Calgary. I discovered that the Canadian customs officials aren't any less suspicious of a single male travelling with no fixed return date, meeting people met over the Internet than American Customs are.
