Don't let your cat chew on electrical wires. It's not good for the wires nor for the cat, and it's better if you just give him a light slap when you see him starting to do so.

My cats eat potato chips, too, as well as just about anything with grain. We have to hide our bread unless it's being supervised.

Everything you said isn't really an oddity -- that is the way normal cats behave. They don't really understand your words, but they know when you're getting ready for bed by what you do beforehand. Vomiting is normal although it'd probably be good if you got that checked out. And most cats love human food.
