I hadn't actually expected to be able to defeat Murkon on my first try, but I did. His personal guards couldn't touch me (and neither could he - except by magic) and I beat him fairly easily. I had more trouble getting through the normal level 10 monsters.

I am not sure if 3500 HP's is the maximum or not, although it seems a slightly 'too' round of a number.

With an AC of 70 no monsters (at all) could physically hit me.

Next time I would take a race that could possible have a natural max resistance of 20 (in any of the three). As it was, for most of the later stages of the game I had a Fire Resistance of 18 (Anti-heat leather +1 was replaced by the Assassin's robes listed above...) and this effectively negated about half the monsters I faced on levels 8 and 9. (On my way to the Leviathan this was particularly key.)

I never did find the 2nd Assassin 'item of specialness' though I found several of the the other classes' items.

An interesting game... the early stages were more difficult. Once speed starting kicking in, it was quick going....

Thanks again Sam!
