That's one of the advantages you have in the game you are playing. You are going to know all the items better than anyone.
> Must have been hard to arm and clothe Squinting Guy, with all the keys you had to carry. It didn't take long before First Bat The Second dumped all keys leading to Kaliti. Actually, that was a bit of an issue too, since he got paralyzed aboot five times in a row right after I retrained him as an Assassin. Didn't even have time to cast QUAKE. That was depressing.
It's only seven items to get through to Murkon from Perrin. (and only 4 just to get to level 10.) (don't need bronze or stone of passage). When I found items I would make an instant decision whether a) it was useful to my character or b) a source of funds. If it was neither I dropped it. Went through a lot of items this way. (Though as I've mentioned, I still didn't find half the cool stuff you have...)
> Some of the healing items give you 250 HP or better, but I can still see why you wouldn't want to waste precious space carrying them around on a suicide mission. Once you get to Kaliti, every time you're near death you have to fight your way back to Perinn, so better to just die and pay the price to resurrect.
I actually meant healing armor and those types of items where you gain points every x number of turns. but the principle is pretty much the same. I did use Restoration amulets when I could find them. That really paid off when I found one right before fighting Death. (although it really just meant that I could last longer on level 10 before I died.) Reviving in Perrin turned out to be very cost-effective.
