I think that entirely depends on who's home, doing the cooking. Some of the worst meals I have ever had were wrought with my own two hands.

One memorable entry in this category was the underdone turkey meatloaf, served with a side of 1/4" high rubbery lime jello (I forgot to put in the 2nd cup of water), along with the muffins that would just about bounce if you dropped them.

And I served this to *guests*
(hangs head in shame).

Okay, they weren't "guest" guests, they were my in-laws, and no, I don't have anything in for them. No, really. They gamely ate a bit of everything, and only laughed a little at the jello.
