It would have to be the spoiled hot dog that gave me food poisoning. I was so sick, I didn't know anything for two days. It was just a couple of weeks after we got married and I think I almost died. The hot dog came from a little drive-in restaurant.

But I can't remember it tasting bad, so maybe the worst was cafeteria food at a college cafeteria somewhere. I ate in a lot of those during summer workshops. I went to so many workshops and siminars, I can claim to have attened seven colleges and universities, but it's a stretch.

They say college cafeteria food is awful now, so I guess that is a big improvement over putrid. One thing I learned while I was getting my education is how great home cooking is.
