Obviously Koalamom can cook (hey, she's a MOM), and obviously you're not much of one if you haven't cooked enough to realize that everybody, no matter how good they are, flubs a meal now and again. Her story of rubbery jello and bouncy muffins was obviously a fluke -- otherwise it wouldn't have been a story worth telling -- but even if it weren't, that still doesn't excuse rubbing it in and bragging about yourself, as you have done here. I think you owe her and apology and the rest of us a little more coherence.

Well, um...

Actually, we *do* eat out quite a lot, and koaladad also does his share of the cooking (in self-defense, no doubt). And yes, I do cook better now than I used to, but despite the hours of experience I've accumulated in the kitchen, I'll never be Betty Crocker.

So while I found your and Howard's comments rather endearing (and thank you both), there's really no need to come to my defense here-- I gave Mysto's reply a mental "amen, brother" and then (heh) went out to eat. In fact I just finished the leftovers for lunch.

But, you're the webmaster here, so, ah, content is your call. But no need to deploy the sword of justice on my behalf or anything.

koala"remember-- 'nothin' says lovin' like something from the oven'"mom

P.S. Not all moms can cook--my own mother couldn't. (Where do you think I didn't learn it from?) :)
