Monster arena losing rewards?

In the battle reports it says:

Prize money: 475

Medical expenses: -75

Points earned: 300 + opponents medical expenses.

Do losers really get 400 gold and 300 points? That would make it harder to calculate a losers gold, since for winners gold is equal to points + starting 500.
