You're young. There is plenty of time to travel. You might need to look at some places not so far away. Nashville can be fun city if you know where to look. With the internet, it's easy to investigate places like that and plan a trip. It would take years to see all the fun stuff in Memphis. Reelfoot Lake is the best nature tour around.

Just up in Kentucky, there are places like Lincoln's birth place, Ancient Buried City (Indian mounds), Mammoth Cave, Fort Knox and Land Between the Lakes (also in Tennessee).

I loved Huntsville, Alabama and the Space Center there. There is also Brandon, Missouri.

Civil war sites abound in your region, especially to the south. And if you like rivers, you've got 'em! The Cumberland, the Tennessee, the Ohio and the Mississippi are all just a short trip.

There is also a great motor scooter meet up at Hazel, Kentucky every May. Hazel is on the Ky-Tn line just south of Murray. The town itself is just a few blocks long and it's wall to wall with antique stores.

Even a crappy car can make it to most of those places.
