Well, you don't have to travel much when you already live in a destination state. I recommend the Keys. Take a camera.

And Tampa Bay really astounded me the first time I saw it. I have been all over Florida for 50 years and somehow missed that one fabulus sight. Then last fall, I sailed all over it on a cruise ship and out beneath that big bridge and into the Gulf of Mexico. The shipping channel wanders around a lot in the bay so you get to see a lot of it. I had no idea it was so big. It takes your breath away at sunset.
