> You've NEVER had a headache?! Wow. Ask the people I work with (or the people in Chat sometimes): I probably get enough headaches for all three of you combined. But it could be worse, since I've only had two migraines in my life, and some people get a lot of them. A few of my recent headaches have been near-migraines, but I don't think that counts.

I had frequent migraines in my early teens, over a period of about three years -- perhaps one every two to three months. It was the only bad ailment I've ever had; each time I'd have to come home from school, and I would spend that entire day lying in a darkened room throwing up every few minutes. They never lasted more or less than one full day. The following day I would feel fine again, though rather lightheaded.

I never had migraines before or since. I can only assume it had something to do with puberty. I suppose it must be at least 15 years since they went away, and the thought of them ever coming back still gives me the cold sweats.

Perhaps, in view of all this, you will think it strange that I claim to never get headaches. However, I think of my migraine phase as more like a temporary illness or condition I had many years ago. I never took any sort of medicine for them.

Perhaps this used up my lifetime headache allowance, because I certainly never get ordinary headaches these days.
