Well, that's it, i'm officially an Eagle Scout. I went and had my board of review tonight, which for you non-scout people is where 3 people sit in a room and drill you with questions for about 2 hours. The only one I really had trouble with was the question "Do you believe in god?" They have this rule where if you say no to that question, they fail you, and you cannot become an Eagle Scout. I said yes, and I described how I was sort of a spiritual person who likes nature and likes to enjoy the world that was somehow created.

Described to me was the responsibility that came with being an Eagle Scout. They said it would look bad if I somehow died being stuck in the woods or something, and it would make the papers with the headline "Boy Scout dies, not having proper survival skills."

So, are any of you Boy Scouts/Eagle Scouts? Post your experiences.

And i'd like to give a big "SHUT UP" to people saying that Boy Scouts are "OMFG SO GAY OMG". It's really been a positive experience for me, and i've learned a lot. A lot of people like to judge that Eagle Scout = geek, and I don't think that's true.

PS: It's pretty dumb how the boy scouts discriminate against gays. That's stupid.

Also, did anyone do that Ordeal thing where you were sworn in not to mention what went on there to a soul, or face eternal damnation or something? That was by far the stupidest thing i've ever done. I figure we can all share the secrets here.
