I was in the Boys Brigade, and the majority of my experience was two years of playing a strange variation on soccer that utilised a bunch of hockey sticks we found in a cupboard in the church hall. Needless to say, acts of violence perpetrated with the hockey sticks were not counted as fouls, and the most impressive takedowns often led to bonus points for your team.

I also have fond memories of "British Bulldog with chairs" (British Bulldog - game where you sit on another person's shoulders and he runs as fast as he can at another, similarily arranged, pair of loonies in the hope of knocking your opponents down) although these fond memories were often separated by long periods of unconsciousness.
