Murkon's Refuge: Stupid question of the day

Here is my daily "Stupid question of the Day" (*hears music playing* AAAAHHHH!!...sorry). My stupid question is:

Is there anyway for me to raise my assassin's fire resistance besides just leveling up or by using anti-heat armor/sheild. He is almost at level 13 and his heat resistance is only 2!!!! Everyone else is really close to being 10 or more. Any help is greatly appreicated. Unfortunately, with this game, I can't give you a cookie. But you do win the feeling of self-satifaction (I know, you really wanted a cookie). Thanks.
