> Some races start out with higher heat resistance than others. It's possible your Assassin happens to be from one of the lower ones. As far as I know, he should be picking up that stat roughly as quickly as everyone else, though it's possible that Vitality will help. I think that's the sort of stat that you only get very slowly anyway, and perhaps your Assassin is just unlucky.

He's a rock elf and I have only one of them so that's probably one of them. What level could that shield be found in a pool?

I'll go make a batch of cookie dough (with chocolate chips and m&m's) and just make one big huge cookie. After it cools off, it will be on the way.
