Everyone else is really close to being 10 or more. Any help is greatly appreicated. Unfortunately, with this game, I can't give you a cookie. But you do win the feeling of self-satifaction (I know, you really wanted a cookie). Thanks.

The deeper in the dungeon you go, the better the stuff that will come out of the pools. I've heard tell of people finding some pretty nifty Items of Specialness even in the level 1 pool, but deeper is always better.

Thanks for the Cookie of Chocolacy. It sounds big enough to give me -2 Speed, but it will give you +3 Charisma ;)
