Hercules In the Underworld (1994)

Reviews and Comments

Kevin Sorbo returns as Hercules for another campy adventure. This installment is drawn from the myth of the Shirt of Nessus -- altered to suit the tone of the series, of course, but it's a remarkably faithful rendition under the circumstances and allows for a couple of nice unexpected emotional beats. But once Hercules gets to the underworld and meets a Charon the Boatman who talks like a New York accent, it gets too silly to follow through. Still, this is one of the better entries in the series.
