A pretty cool sight to have seen.

I went to the movies with my aunt today, and yes, we saw Superman Returns, I was curious about it, and yes, I saw it even after I spoiled it by reading the posts on this forum (which was my fault anyway, so who cares), and I thought it was a good movie. I was severely frustrated by everything a little too far-fetched in the movie, previously pointed out in 'Dah! Daaaaaaaaaggghhh!' which didn't surprise me. Stupid non-creative film writers who don't play by the rules... Where did he get that nitrogen-freezy-breath power from?

ANYWAY.

That's not why I am posting this. It was about 9:45 pm when the movie ended, so it was pretty dark on our drive back. We were driving down a dirt road deep in some Michigan countryside, when I saw one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

The road was framed by a huge overhang of trees which arched over the road, making a long, deep tunnel of forest canopy. Going down the road, the whole way was lighted by thousands of fireflies, many more than you normally see in one place, which illuminated the whole road and surrounding woods, farms, old wooden fence, etc. So, basically, yeah, that was awesome. Made me so wish I had remembered to pack the camera. ARRRUGH!!! Wintermute was right, how could I have forgotten it, it IS like forgetting to pack underwear.

People: when you go somewhere, anywhere, for the love of all things awesome, BRING A CAMERA.
