Gah. That's one of the most annoying situations in the world for me: when I'm being told something I know perfectly well, especially by someone who I'm trying to impress. 'Cause you're stuck... pretty much anything you say to the tune of, "Well yes, of course I knew *that*" comes off as huffy or defensive and only makes it worse, so all you can really do is smile meekly and let them think you were ignorant.

Gets under my skin like nothing else.

Anyway, here's hoping you get a callback, condescending director or no.
