> Gah. That's one of the most annoying situations in the world for me: when I'm being told something I know perfectly well, especially by someone who I'm trying to impress. 'Cause you're stuck... pretty much anything you say to the tune of, "Well yes, of course I knew *that*" comes off as huffy or defensive and only makes it worse, so all you can really do is smile meekly and let them think you were ignorant.

I suppose that if you are a good actor, the director never knows that you feel like you are being put down.
