Because people are people regardless. TOMatt always likes to "correct" me when I talk about adults having childish drama, and tell me that really, it's the children mimicking what they see the adults do every day.

People mature as they age, but many of the same basic relational troubles stay constant throughout all the different stages of life. Human nature.

I was only in "the college life" for about a semester and a half total, really. And I wasn't terribly socially active. I just tend to think that mature (for lack of a better word) people are going to be mature by high school age anyway, and if you encounter them, you can attribute their maturity to their own personality more than what life stage they're in. "Immature" people will be immature from childhood and beyond, for the most part.

There have to be exceptions to the rule, of course. But how people treat each other comes more from who they are than what stage in life they're in.
