I may have mispelled his last name, but Dennis Cucinich of Ohio is one of the also-ran candidates for the Democratic Nomination. Like a lot of candidates who don't have a snowball's chance, he makes some sense. He wants to get out of Iraq as quickly as possible, and he says the only way to fix Medicare is the get the insurance companies out of it. It stands to reason that big companies raking off billions in profit don't do much to make health care any cheaper.

I heard his comments about that last week and none of it was ever quoted in the media. I wonder if the insurance companies control the media the way they do Congress and state legislatures?

Even if he can't get the nomination, I like some of the things he says.
