That's one of those sayings I often see attributed to Yogi Berra, a baseball player famous for mangling the language and just being an all-around slow wit (some more famous Yogi-isms: "It ain't over til it's over!", "Baseball is 90% mental. The other half is physical." When asked if he wanted his pizza sliced in six slices or eight: "Better make it six, I don't think I can eat eight.") > > I'm amazed that deja-vu joke is even used often enough with a straight face to warrent listing. > > -- Dave
People actually say that as a JOKE??? I've *only* heard it as a serious saying, never as a joke before. I've even heard it in movies. I've tried to tell my friends that it's redundant to say that and they just look at me like I'm the only one who's ever told them that.
Maybe it's the different part of the country. *shrug*
