Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. I'm going to have a yard sale. So what could go wrong? (I'm not one to be superstitious. Superstitions can be bad luck.) I have all of the yard sale junk out beside the driveway and on the carport. With a little luck, somebody will steal it all overnight.

The only reason I have a sale is so I can talk to my neighbors. It's the only time they come around. I think they have cable TV.

Every time I have a sale, I wind up with more space in the garage, the shed, and the shop. Then I have to go out and buy something to fill up the space until my next sale. Don't try to understand it. It works for me.

I used to have an antique booth in a mall, but I had to let it go. My booth rent was exceeding my sales. But sometimes I miss all of my antique mall friends. So I have a sale and guess who shows up. So there you have it. Yard sales are really social in nature.

If you are in the area, drop by and I'll sell you some junk. It will improve your social life and my financial life.

I went to a sale at an old friends house and bought an old tackle box. I think it was the one I sold him last summer. Next year it's his turn.

So maybe Friday the 13th will bring that long-overdue rain. Bad luck for the sale; good luck for the grass.
Howard
