Well, he's had rheumatoid arthritis since he was 13. In that time, he's done a lot of experimenting and read a lot of off-the-wall theories on that and related diseases. One thing he's found is that his health is much, much better if he stays away from certain types of food; among them, most fats, sugars, and chemicals. He now has the weirdest eating habits I have ever seen. He eats a lot of raw stuff, including raw egg (usually mixed with refried beans and used as a dip for his own special bread recipe.) But canned, packaged things are usually suspect. Besides, he said, he would either love it or hate it, and he didn't want to develop an expensive taste.
