My dad's brother sent him a jar of caviar for a birthday. My dad has never eaten caviar, never wanted to eat caviar, and probably couldn't eat caviar anyway because of health problems. It sat on our shelf for six months, until my uncle's birthday came up. Dad sent him the jar for his present. They exchanged the same jar for a few years. I don't remember what finally happened to it.
