Where is there a place in New York that you can survive making a three-point turn? It must me way upstate somewhere. Making a three-pointer exposes your front, back and both sides to oncoming traffic. Suicide!

If I have to turn around, I go around the block. If I can't do that, and there is nobody behind me, I stop and back into a driveway on the right and wait until there is no traffic from either direction to go left. Another option is to find a business with a parking lot on the left. Turn into that and then turn around in the lot before pulling out and going right. I've been driving since 1949, and I don't average a three-point turn a year. Even then, I have to be where traffic is near zero.
