OK, OK! Now I tried casting BLAZE while in the big monster hall just before Murkon. So I found the two missing pools. I never would have imagined they would be *there*! I was trying to figure it out all the wrong way!

He got to the front when others were paralysed from in front of him.
I just tried to kill Murkon again. This time I could get a couple of QUAKE spells in, but the same happened again - my Wizard got paralysed, and no one was around to revive him, so the characters slowly drifted into oblivion as Murkon blasted them with everything he's got.
Blast Master is now level 59 and Missile Master is level 88. Surely it can't be long until I succeed in killing Murkon for the second time?
