Location Problems in MR

How do you get to the big monster-filled hall on level 2? I found it once and lost it. I really want to level up my level 9 party. Oh, and I'm slightly stuck on level 3. I keep runnimg around in circles in a very limited area near the stairs. I'm sure I'm missing a door somewhere, but I don't know where. How does one get past the sign to go to the level 2 teleporter.
