I keep runnimg around in circles in a very limited area near the stairs. I'm sure I'm missing a door somewhere, but I don't know where. How does one get past the sign to go to the level 2 teleporter. > > > > > > > > The sign says you may not pass, so you need to find something that lets you pass. I forget where it is. Once you do, there's a nifty shortcut to the room you're looking for. Anyway, if you can survive on level 3, you may as well kill the monsters there if you want to level up. You can always go up and down a staircase to reset the level and bring back the monsters, so you should find an unending supply. > > > > > > The item you need to pass the "You may not pass" sign is actually in that big monster hall. Search for a sign that says "There's nothing in here. Really.", but don't believe it... > > > > Right. The Natural Order of Things(TM) in computer games is that prized possessions are always heavily guarded. I found out last night that I didn't know what "heavily guarded" meant till I came face to face with Murkon himself, and he paralyzed my top Assassin. > > You got to face Murkon himself? Oh boy, and I'm stuck in Lyesis. Literally stuck. If I try to go further, I get killed. If I try to return to Kaliti, I get killed. > > Should I keep on trying with my current party or make a new party and try to rescue my old one with it?
I think there's definitely something to be said for starting a new party. You already more or less know the lower levels, and you know what class mix works well. You'll bring lots more items to the rescued party, rather than having them sell off everything and start out in a rough neighbourhood alive but without even a robe.
By the time you're good enough to rescue your old party, you might not even like them all that much. But whatever you do, don't enter a new city till you're sure you'd want to live in that area.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do.
