Alllow me to say that, if it's done correctly form the start, the remake can be as good, if not better, than the original. I personally found King Kong (Peter Jackson's Film) quite enjoyable, and the original was a classic by far.

Now if only they remade the Princess Bride...or at least replaced the 80's soundboard music with an actual orchestra playing the tunes.
