Two more Icelandic coins

I just found two more Icelandic coins that my daughter gave me. Somehow they got shuffled aside, and I guess I had forgotten them. (See my earlier post under the subject "two bits.")

Anyway, they are 10 KR and 100 KR. So I have learned that in Islandic, Krona is singular and Kronur is plural. Since all three of the coins have fish on the reverse side, one can assume that fishing is an important industry in Iceland.

There are other creatures on obverse side. They are in a circle divided into four parts, with one quarter showing the bearded face from the 1 KR coin, and the other three quarters showing various animals.

Any nation's coins will teach you about what is important to them.
