You seem to collect oddities. I do too, but my collection goes back as far as 1853, or earlier if you count a single Roman coin that my daughter brought me from Bath. I have US cents that predate Lincoln. He first appeared on the penny in 1909. Before that it was an Indian.

I started picking up unusual coins shortly after World War II. A lot of foreign coins came home with American soldiers, and they still show up from that period.

I have a silver Mexican Peso that is about the size of a US half dollar and it is over 100 years old. I wonder how many pesos the silver in the coin is worth today.

I have 3 wooden nickles. One is from a Dairy Queen in Hilo, Hawaii. It was good for a small cone of soft serve ice cream, but I needed the nickle more than the ice cream. I have all kinds of tokens and script, some not identified.

As long as I can read the dates, I guess I will continue to collect coins. After 60 years of it, I wouldn't be able to stop.
