If the series hadn't ended after Revenge of the Pink Panther, it at least should have ended after Curse of the Pink Panther. This film is a travesty on all counts. The humor is inane, and the lead is too smart to be a son of Jacques Clouseau -- or funny. The series' fans will be horrified by the brutal murder of many of Clouseau's trademark lines, and co-stars Dreyfuss and Cato are handled clumsily and unrealistically. Stay far, far away from this one.
