For me it's all about remembering to change the oil on time. I can get 6 or 7 trips to and from work out of a full tank if I've just changed the oil, but if it gets past that 3000 mile mark (which is just about every time, unfortunately) I'm down to barely being able to make 4.

Huh. I remember my dad telling me faster speeds are actually *better* for gas mileage. But I may be confusing that with highway versus town driving.
