The way I look at voting is that if you vote for someone who ultimately loses the election, you wasted your vote. If you vote for the guy who wins, you had a small part in the process. But if he wins by only one vote, you did something really big.

But if you don't vote, it makes no real difference, unless of course, someone wins or loses by one vote. Then you have really messed things up.

So I keep voting. I am as likely to vote against somebody as for somebody. Sometimes I vote for someone who doesn't have a snowball chance of winning. It's my way of telling the other guy, "There are a few of us who don't want you to win."
