I agree with Darien. Wolverine has been a major focus and the most popular X-character since he was introduced 30 years ago. I'm sure issues with him always sell better than without and his solo titles do better than any other character from the X-men.

> They got along fine for twenty years without him. So make a movie about the X-MEN, and not WOLVERINE.

They can't. This isn't the Fantastic Four. The X-men is ever evolving as a group, just as the movies show. Wolverine is one of the few consistent ones (to go along with most popular). And that is why they are making a Woverine movie. I guess they might be planning on a Magneto movie, too.

All three movies have done this. Whether it is with character origins or storylines or whatnot. You aren't going to get complete consistency in timeline, characters or story when moving it to the big screen. For example, Juggernaut is not a mutant in the comic books.

And doing just a Phoenix story line could be pretty messy.

> I was rather unsatisfied, but for reasons I can't go into without spoiling the movie. It just seemed like the director said "Eh, it's the last movie in the trilogy... we can do WHATEVER WE WANT to the characters." And, God help us, he did.

Do you really think this will be the last of the X-Men movies? Not after making 120 million big ones its opening weekend, it sure ain't. You must not have stayed until the end of the credits, either.

> Juggernaut makes an appearance played by the Manchester United Fanatic from Eurotrip (Vinny Jones, I think is his name), and gets defeated after doing absolutely nothing.

Juggernaut will be back. No doubt.

> Colossus (a non-Russian Colossus), Shadowcat and Beast all show up, but without really doing anything noteworthy. Well, Beast technically does at the end, but it's something that fits in with everything else that's disappointed me throughout the movie.

I thought Colussus had a Russian accent in the last movie but I don't remember. And where was Nightcrawler in this one?

> And the last show of the movie, from the moment the last scene starts, I knew what was going to happen. It's one of those cliché things that everyone recognizes will happen, and it does, and are we surprised?

It is a comic book movie, what did you expect?
