I suppose that poll question was about man-made objects. If so, my arrowheads would count, but a piece of unworked flint from the same deposit would not.

My Roman coin, which looks somewhat like the one in Sam's picture, is the oldest I have, but my collection includes quite a few from the last half of the 19th century. One is an 1853 US quarter.

But I have aways liked old stuff. I even sleep in a bed that is close to 100 years old. I have an old pistol that was manufactured in 1900, motor scooters that go back to 1946, a car built in 1957, and a tractor that is almost 60 years old. I have a very ornate, framed mirror that my parents got for a wedding gift in 1931. Come to think of it, I'm still walking around on legs that date from 1933, and they still work very well.

Most of my old stuff is less than valuable, but it's what I like. I think it would be nice if everybody had something 100 years old and liked it well enough to protect and preserve it for the future.
