I like your points, Howard, because you bring up stuff from many sides of the argument. The one thing that does drive me crazy is when the "pro-immigration" people state things about how we (the U.S.) don't want immigrants. The issue here isn't immigration, it is *illegal* immigration. I heard a number that we allowed over 1 million people to come here as legal immigrants last year (that number might be low but it was at least 1 million).

So, are we denying people the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"? I guess it depends on how you look at it.
