In Wayne's World, Canadian Mike Myers included an oblique reference to Timmy's in the form of Stan Mikita's Donuts. It was also named after a hockey player, and in one scene at Stan Mikita's you can see another Stan Mikita's outside the window.

There really are that many Timmy's in Canada. Drive from Montreal to Toronto (5-6 hours), and you'll see one at every exit.
