I just moved to Texas from Indiana and was in my bedroom putting on a night shirt(that i had left on the floor in a pile of clothes) in the dark and felt a painful bite and reached under my shirt and felt something there and i grabbed it and through it on the floor. I never got to see what it was. The next morning i was in the shower and noticed that my hip hurt and i looked and shure enough there was what looked like a spider bite. There were two fang openings that were dark in color in the center and swollen. I had been bitten before by spiders but they looked like a mesquito bite, nothing like this. It sort of freaked me out. It is sore and burns like a regular burn. It is still red and one of the pockets formed a blister so i popped it to try to get the poison out and cleaned it with peroxide and put neosporin and a bandaid on it. It still hurts and doesn't look like it is going to go away for a long time. I haven't felt well before i was bitten so i am not sure of symptoms. I am not sure of what kinds of spiders are here in Texas that could have been the culprit. Should i go to a doctor if it doesn't go away in a couple of days and still hurts? I am freaked out becase i don't know where it went and if there are more in my bedroom. Does anyone have any idea of what kind of spider it could have been and what i should do?
